MOPAR CAP Local Training Program
Patrick J. Hart, Executive Director of New York Automotive & Training Institute, in collaboration with NC3 – National Coalition of Certification Centers, Chrysler Automobiles, and representatives from sixteen Fiat/Chrysler Automobiles Dealerships from New York City, Long Island, and Connecticut announced the launch of the MOPAR® Career Automotive Program Local (MOPAR CAP Local) Wednesday, September 7 at 10 AM at the school in Jamaica, Queens.
MOPAR CAP Local is a study/internship program that trains high-caliber automotive technicians for employment at Fiat Chrysler Automobiles US LLC dealerships nationwide. One of a few select schools, NYADI will train students using Fiat/Chrysler Automobiles US LLC’s automotive diagnostic and repair procedures to develop the skills necessary to be successful technicians. Students can benefit from internship work experience at the dealership and from specific OEM training with the latest technology, diagnostic equipment, and service information. This, in turn, will lead to higher job placements and earnings potential at FCA US LLC dealerships after graduation.
In an industry hungry for automotive and diesel technicians with up-to-date training and job experience, Hart expects this collaboration to benefit not only NYADI graduates but the local economy as well. Automotive technicians earn above average wages and will find plenty of local and/or national opportunities for employment. “We have the best students, instructors, and training in New York City – now we will be able to offer an OEM experience as well. This is the key to successful job placement.” The attending dealership representatives were eager to sign on to meet again in two months and start receiving their interns. NYADI welcomes applicants who are interested in this opportunity to visit our website: www.nyadi.edu.
“As a school dedicated to continuous curriculum development and equipment upgrading, NYADI is proud to be the only New York City automotive and diesel school implementing these programs! This will also be a great fit for the students in our TASC program who are simultaneously preparing for their High School Equivalency and their educational certificates. I am excited about having another life-changing program in place for the hard working students at our school.”
