No high school diploma? No problem – we’ll help you prepare for the TASC exam via our eligible Career Pathway Program. NYADI offers rolling admissions throughout the year.
ADMISSIONS REQUIREMENTS AND PROCESS
To qualify for admission to NYADI, an applicant must:
- Be able to read and write in English.
- Be 18 years of age or older.
- Note: Students who are 17 can apply to NYADI with parental consent
- Complete an initial interview with a representative from the Admissions Office.
- Meet the minimum educational requirement, which can be achieved with:
- A high school diploma
- A high school equivalency diploma
- A high school transcript confirming the student’s graduation date
- A recognized equivalent of a high school diploma, such as a homeschooled certificate
- Successful completion of an Ability-to-Benefit (ATB) entrance examination, followed by concurrent enrollment in NYADI’s High School Equivalency prep course and one of our three certificate programs
ADMISSIONS PROCEDURES
If you meet the above admission requirements, you are welcome to:
- Complete an informational interview (your spouse or parents are encouraged to be present)
- Take a tour of NYADI’s facilities
- Submit required documentation for enrollment
- Complete NYADI’s Enrollment Agreement

ENROLLMENT DATES
NYADI typically offers multiple program start dates throughout the academic year. Each semester is approximately 15 weeks long, and classes are held Monday through Thursday. Information on upcoming semester start dates is available from the admissions office.
Applicants are strongly encouraged to complete all admissions and financial aid paperwork at least one week before their preferred start date. In the event of extenuating circumstances, students may be permitted to begin classes up to three days after a semester begins with the approval of NYADI’s executive director.

Description: Second annual Guidance Counselor Information Session onsite visit. Guidance Counselors will be invited to attend an information session, light breakfast, tour, and demo.

Description: Combined Open House and Instant Decision Day for 2025 and 2026 grads. Includes campus tours, admissions and financial aid overview, plus demos such as a Hellcat demonstration, hands-on car maintenance, or STEM activities.

Event: Automotive Technology Demo: Understanding Car Systems
Time: 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Description: A live, hands-on demonstration of key automotive systems (e.g., engine, transmission, brakes, and electrical systems). Students will get to see how these systems work, learn about their components, and get a basic introduction to automotive repair and diagnostics. This event gives students a sneak peek into what they’ll learn in NYADI’s programs.

NYADI The College of Transportation Technology is an accredited institution in keeping with the requirements established by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC). NYADI is authorized to award the following degrees by the Board of Regents of the University of the State of New York:
