College President’s Message on Coronavirus

/  College President’s Message on Coronavirus

Greetings ADI Family,

I hope this email finds you and your family safe and well and that you have had an enjoyable hard earned break from your studies. I wanted to bring you up to date on the latest situation regarding your studies at ADI. Many of you will be continuing your studies via remote learning on Monday July 13th. Evelyn will be notifying you by email to remind you to log into class on Monday. Those of you who only have the “hands-on” will be notified next week of your schedule.

New York City is scheduled to begin Phase 4 starting on Monday July 20th. Higher Education, which includes ADI, is in Phase 4. We have been preparing the campus according to the guidelines put forth by the New York State Department of Health. As previously communicated to you, we will only be conducting the “hands-on” portion of your studies on campus. The theoretical portion will continue to be delivered via the remote learning platform.

Please be assured that the safety and well-being of our students, staff, and faculty is paramount and we will do everything possible to ensure that we follow the guidelines by the Department of Health. We will depend on our wonderful student body to also follow the common sense guidelines such as:

  • Stay home if you are not feeling well
  • Wear a mask while on campus
  • Wash your hands for at least 20 seconds
  • Practice social distancing (6 feet apart)
  • Help to keep your work area/stations sanitized at all times

We look forward to seeing you back on campus and to helping you fulfill your dreams! Stay safe.
